Hello Everyone!

 

        My name is Stephanie and I am so glad you have stopped by my blog. I am a teacher and love to incorporate music into my classroom, as much as possible! Both of my parents are teachers, as well (one a music teacher and one a professor/athletic trainer). My time as a classroom teacher has been mainly in Kindergarten, with short stints in 5th grade and 3rd grade. Teaching at an Apple Distinguished school gave me an incredible opportunity to develop my technology integration in my classroom.

Teaching with a holistic mindset is something that I value and hope to continue to grow in this area of my teaching practice. Attending to my students social and emotional growth, in addition to their academic needs, helps to ensure further success in their growth as a human being. One way I try to ensure these needs are being met is through PLAY!

Traveling and making connections with others, near and far, is something that I try to make a priority in my life. My husband and I have been fortunate enough to visit at least one new country each year we have been married.   Traveling is an area that I want to continue to grow in (stretching out of my comfort zone) and to grow from (learning from the various places I visit and people I meet).
